North Shoulder of Chair Peak

Blue skies and high quality snow were my hopes for the day, and although clouds rolled in while skinning up Chair Peak, the snow didn't disappoint. Reaching the notch on the shoulder of Chair Peak, we were buffeted by high winds and encountered a couple groups of climbers opting not to attempt the Summit of Chair due to the winds.
We didn't feel like breaking trail further up the ridge to get into chute down to Snow Lake, and instead followed the group in front of us with a nice ski down to the bench above Snow Lake. The quality of the snow was fantastic, and it was protected from the wind. Skins back on, we followed the skin track to the chute and had a great ski, with occasional wind blown snow.
Meet up with Wayne above Source Lake. There was a slight crust on top on the face to Source Lake, but it was easy to power through it and the turns down were actually pretty good.
