Tim was at the Pass but not able to ski, and was nice enough to film my descent from Hyak (and also make sure I arrived safely back at my car). I left from Yellowstone Road, and other than trying to find a suitable crossing for Coal Creek, it was a pretty easy skin to the top.

With a layer of fog covering Gold Creek Valley, I was only able to see the top 300 feet of the run, and it looked a little dicey. Once it cleared up and I caught a nice view of my descent, everything looked good. The ski on the top was very firm but consistent and smooth. Once in the ravine, I encountered a lot of avalanche debris and it was hard skiing...
