Skinning across the middle Lake Mike skiing the North side Looking down Me making the best of the conditions Looking back up our ski line Skinning up Booting up Skiing down to the lake Getting some nice turns in

Mike and I took the scenic route up across Coal Creek and through Kendall Lakes. A group had attained the ridge before us, and their track veered right towards the double barrelled chutes, so we went left. We scouted a couple of ways down, all of which looked a little crusty - our descent was indeed tricky towards the top with a combination of crust and ice. The low angled slopes farther down provided the best ski, although it was never great snow.

We skied about a grand down, and turned around for the skin out of Silver Creek Basin, eventually hearing the voices of the other group, who had skied lower than us. From the ridge, we had a nice ski down to the lakes, and then the long and awkward ski out back to Yellowstone Road.
