Coal Creek Fungus among us From the top Rampart Ridge

Tim was at the Pass but not able to ski, and was nice enough to film my descent from Hyak (and also make sure I arrived safely back at my car). I left from Yellowstone Road, and other than trying to find a suitable crossing for Coal Creek, it was a pretty easy skin to the top.

With a layer of fog covering Gold Creek Valley, I was only able to see the top 300 feet of the run, and it looked a little dicey. Once it cleared up and I caught a nice view of my descent, everything looked good. The ski on the top was very firm but consistent and smooth. Once in the ravine, I encountered a lot of avalanche debris and it was hard skiing...
