Mike at high point above Bullion Basin The first ski Skiing into Bullion Basin Crown Point Mike skiing down from Crown Point More turns

Mike and I made the drive down to Crystal for a tour around Bullion Basin. Mike had explore the area a couple of years ago, while this was new and unchartered territory for me. We followed the skin track up to the high point above the Basin and descended back into the Basin. Skiing above 6,000ft was suprisingly good, with a weak crust starting to show below 6k.

We hopped back in the track and made our way over to Crown Point for a nice descent, fiding much of the same conditions as our first descent. Skinning back up and around Crown Point, we skied down to Pickhandle Gap, into Pickhandle Basin and out via the ski resort. It was nice touring in a completely new area, and being forced to consult the map to determine our next steps!
